Swanson Dock Siding in Port of Melbourne
Partial commissioning of the points and signalling controlling the Swanson Dock Link Line, and the points at the Melbourne end of the Swanson Dock Sidings, in preparation for Phase 2..

Swanson Dock Siding in Port of Melbourne
Full commissioning for the operation of automation of the points and signals at the Swanson Dock Sidings.
Southern Shorthaul Railroad ran the very first Port Rail Shuttle between Somerton Intermodal Terminal and DP World on 12 November 2025
(as seen in the photo).
Drafted and finalised the Ops Spec, Safeworking Plan and resources, a new suite of Operating Procedures and operational requirements as liaison between PoM, ARTC and SJM.

DIRECTIONAL DRILLING & COMMUNICATIONS UPGRADEs
FibreconX on the ARTC & V/LINE NETWORKS
Works included directional drilling to install new conduits underneath Somerville Road Level Crossing in Brooklyn, Melbourne. This would enable future communications upgrades to be performed.
ROS were involved with coordinating the correspondence and access applications between V/Line, ARTC and VicTrack, ensuring rail safety, heritage and environmental compliance was sought, understood and adhered to by all parties involved.

SCT Terminal departure track commissioning
PS Marine on the ARTC NETWORK
Full commissioning of the points and signals on the Departure Track (Melbourne End) of SCT Terminal in Altona, Melbourne. These works involved a data upgrade, testing and commissioning of the new signalling arrangement for rail movements in and our of the Departure Track, assisting SCT Logistics with their freight and shuttle services in and out of Melbourne.
ROS have taken on the tasks of managing the safeworking and gaining access for the signalling team to perform the data upgrade and commissioning..
